How Blue Durango came to be

For more than 25 years, Blue Durango Iced Tea quietly built a loyal following in the restaurant world. Along the way, we learned a thing or two about tea... how to brew it properly, balance flavors and create the kind of iced tea people remember.

Not too long ago, we decided it was time to bring our iced teas to the grocery aisle. But we had absolutely no interest in becoming just another iced tea on the shelf. So we did what came naturally: we got creative.

We began layering teas with botanicals, fruits, herbs, and unexpected ingredients. We were pioneering our own take on the refreshment of tea. We wanted every iced tea to have a personality of its own.

Somewhere along the way, Blue Durango became more than an iced tea. It became a curious little town somewhere between imagination and the Wild West, populated by tea merchants, lawmen, a doctor, dreamers, troublemakers... and a few characters who probably shouldn’t be left unsupervised.

Every iced tea we create brings a new personality to town. Each has a name, a story, original artwork and, most importantly, an unmistakable flavor.

Are we doing things a little differently? That’s kind of the point.
